+1 Loot To Forge Ores Guide — Types, Tiers & Sell Values

How ores work in +1 Loot To Forge: rarity tiers, reported sell values, what to keep for recipes and where to farm the ores that matter.

Ores are the economy of +1 Loot To Forge: every weapon and armor recipe consumes specific ores, and every Coin you do not get from selling surplus drops has to come from grinding waves. This guide explains the rarity system, what your drops are worth, and the farming habits that keep your forge fed without wasting hours.

How ores work

  • Enemies drop them. Each dungeon stage has its own drop table — higher stages drop higher-tier ores, which is the real reason stage pushing pays.
  • Recipes consume specific ores. A katana takes roughly 4 ores of its recipe’s types; a greatsword around 13; heavy armor runs 14–23 per piece (full costs in the recipes page).
  • Surplus sells for Coins. The sell value scales enormously across the tier ladder — pocket change at the bottom, upgrade-funding money at the top.

Rarity tiers and reported values

Community trackers count about 48 ore types spread across roughly 10 rarity tiers (29 tiered, with the remainder dropping as untiered extras). Reported sell values illustrate the spread — treat them as community-observed figures that updates can shift, not guarantees:

Ore tierReported sell valueWhat it is good for
Low (common ore, Gold-ore era)~200 CoinsEarly recipe fodder; sell true surplus only
Mid tiersthousands to tens of thousands of CoinsMid recipe requirements — keep two tiers of stock
Top tiers (e.g. the Magmacore class)reported up to ~320K CoinsLate recipes and your Coin engine once you out-farm mid recipes

The spread matters less than the rule: an ore’s crafting value almost always beats its sell value if a recipe you are approaching needs it. Sell from the bottom up, never from your current recipe tier down.

Where to farm ores efficiently

  1. Farm the newest stage you clear reliably. Drop tables improve per stage; a stalled higher stage earns less per minute than the one below it.
  2. Clear speed beats tier purity. A stage you clear in half the time with slightly lower ore tiers wins on ores-per-hour — the forge guide explains how drops convert into crafts.
  3. Stack the loop. Ores flow while you train in a multiplier zone between waves — the training zones guide covers the positioning.
  4. Watch event windows. Limited events (like the Boss Invasion season) can temporarily change where valuable drops come from; farm events first, then return to stages.

What to keep vs what to sell

Keep:

  • Everything your current and next-two recipe tiers consume.
  • Any ore you cannot re-farm yet (rare drops from stages you have not out-leveled).
  • A buffer of mid-tier ores — recipe surprises are cheaper with stock.

Sell:

  • Ores below your lowest upcoming recipe once the craft is done.
  • Duplicates beyond your two-tier buffer.
  • Anything you are actively re-farming anyway — never sell a rare drop from a stage you have out-leveled, because going back costs more than the Coins were worth. The tier list marks which crafts each stage’s ores are meant to fund.

FAQ

How many ores are in +1 Loot To Forge?

Community trackers count around 48 ore types across roughly 10 rarity tiers, and updates keep adding more — check the in-game collection for the live count.

What is the most valuable ore?

Top-tier drops like the Magmacore class sell for reported six-figure Coin sums, but their crafting value in late recipes is the real prize.

Why should I not just sell everything?

Recipes consume specific ores by type. Selling a needed ore means re-farming a stage you have out-leveled — the most common time-sink in the game.
